EXCURSION DETAILS

After the ascent with Diavolezza cable car, there will be a short path downhill to the starting point of the "Via Ferrata"; after 500 steps, the fixed ropes and the impressive suspension bridge reach the summit at 3146 meters. From there, it will be possible to enjoy a breathtaking view over the entire Bernina group.

From the summit the path leads back to the Diavolezza station to return to the valley.

What you need

Document valid for expatriation, mountain clothing (sweater, jacket or k-Way), via ferrata kit (harness, lanyard with heat sink, helmet), sunglasses, packed lunch, trekking shoes. The gloves are recommended for protection (ok to use the ones similar to the mountain bike ones). Minors must be accompanied by a parent.

A mountaineering experience in the spectacular surroundings of the Roseg Valley between glaciers and fascinating mountains of the Valtellina.

EXCURSION DETAILS

Departure from Livigno on Wednesday, early afternoon. Transfer to Pontresina and climb to the relaxing Tschierva Hut through the beautiful Roseg Valley. Cena e pernottamento al rifugio (prezzo indicativo mezza pensione € 55,00 a persona). Dinner and overnight stay at the hut (half board price approx: € 55.00 per person). The next day climb towards the "Vedrettin da Tschierva", the glacier enclosed between the Piz Morteratsch and the Piz Tschierva. Depending on the conditions we will decide whether to climb one or the other peak to enjoy the spectacular scenery of the only 4000 mt. summit of the central Alps.

A perfectly equipped via ferrata, on a wall of almost 500 meters high, immersed in the green wood of the Engadine for an adventure of pure adrenaline.

EXCURSION DETAILS

Transfer by car to Pontresina, just a few minutes walk and the adventure begins: steps, traverses, rope bridge, spider web. Fantastic views of the Bernina group's peaks and of the waterfall that plunges a few meters from the ascent path. From the end of the via ferrata a convenient path leads back to the base.

The tops of the central Alps

Selected ascents on the most beautiful peaks of the Central Alps. An easy mountaineering along the normal routes with routes mainly on glaciers up to almost 4000 meters. It is required an important preparation for more demanding climbs as well as to try out the "4000" of the Alps. Some climbs are possible "in the day", for others it is necessary to stay overnight in a shelter or bivouac.

We propose the ascent along the normal medium difficulty route, or the climb through the wonderful and long Biancograt ridge. It is also possible to organize a three-day trip by linking the Pizzo Bernina and the Pizzo Palù with overnight at the Marco and Rosa Refuge at an altitude of 3600 meters.

Course that aims to teach the basic skills of mountaineering so that you can to confidently face the high mountain environment.

The program includes three excursions divided as follows:

Half day on rock: basic training on materials and knots, basic climbing movements, assisted abseiling.


Half day on the glacier: knowledge and correct use of the ice material, rope climbing progression on glacier and mixed terrain.


The course concludes with a mountaineering climb on a peak in Livigno. The choice of the summit and the ascent route will depend on the technical skills of the participants.

Advanced course to learn the technical knowledge necessary to move independently on easy climbing routes.

Three days are planned as follows:

A day on the rock: knowledge of the materials, basic climbing movements, basic nodology, rope insurance, autonomous abseiling.


A day on the glacier: knowledge and correct use of the ice material (ice ax, crampons, ice screws), rope climbing progression on glacier and mixed terrain, making anchorages on ice.


The course ends with a mountain climbing on glacial terrain at high altitude with overnight stay in a shelter or bivouac; the choice of the summit and the ascent route will depend on the technical skills of the participants.
